I have very mixed feelings about today's post.
First, the exciting news:
I'm pregnant and expecting a baby November 2nd!
My husband, my daughters and I are all looking forward to meeting our new family member this fall! What a blessing God has made children to be for our lives.
This leads me to the next announcement:
I'm taking a year off from blogging. I plan to start this blog back up in Spring of 2017. The best way to know when the blog starts back up is to sign up today for the emails from this blog.
Taking a break from blogging was a bittersweet and difficult decision to make. Pregnancy and caring for a small baby can be tiring! I want to do my best to prioritize my energy for my marriage, family, and the local Church.
I love sharing with you ideas for teaching children the Bible. This will be a topic that I will continue to think on and work on even though I won't be blogging this next year.
Thank you for faithfully speaking God's Word to the children in your life. I hope that the information that I have already posted on the blog, especially the Teaching Series page, will be a resource for you over this next year.
I would love to hear from you during this next year. Please email me at humbleheartsfamily(at)gmail.com. I would love to hear about what you have enjoyed teaching your children from the Bible, a teaching idea that really worked for your family, or a resource that you found that you think I would enjoy.
(Note, I do plan to post a picture of the baby in November. Also, a friend of mine is working on publishing a picture book about speaking in tongues. If that comes out in the next year, I will also do a post about that.)

Congratulations! I'll miss your posts, but I totally understand why you need a little hiatus. I have loved having your blog as an amazing reference to help me with my monthly children's fellowship. I always get so blessed reading thru all the different teaching ideas,& parent preps. Thanks for your heart to do this! I look forwards to what new things you'll have to share when you are ready. God Bless You! Love, Anna Doke
