What to look for this month:

• Introduction of "Jesus Christ Our Savior" teaching series.  I am so excited about this! Over the next year of 2015 I will be posting ideas for teaching children about Jesus Christ. It will be a great year!  This month I will do an overview of the teaching series.  The last week of December I will post the first teaching ideas.  This way, you can review them and teach them to your child in January. Throughout the series I will be referring to "The Acceptable Year Of The Lord" by Walter J. Cummins. If you don't have this book, I strongly suggest getting it.  I have found it extremely helpful to refer to when teaching children about Jesus Christ.
• "4 Verses For Parents in 2015". Technically this will be posted next month, on January 1st. A great way to start the first of the year.

August 2014 Newsletter

What to look for this month:

• Teaching ideas for Genesis 1, 2 and 3. I will be focusing on how God as the Creator is wise and strong.  I will also be looking at why man needs a Savior.  How exciting to be teaching part of the the gospel!
• Lyrics to 10 songs added to the Bible Song List 
• Toddler Tuesday

• With school starting, it is always good to consider Proverbs 1:7.  Teaching our children awe and reverence for God is a valuable gift. 
• You may want to check out this children's Bible resource recommendation. Upcoming teaching ideas on the blog will be going to Biblical records about people. I have found using a children's Bible to be helpful.  I like how the Read With Me Bible doesn't add in additional words that aren't in the Bible.

What Happened Last Month on the Blog:

• Instagram:  After taking a break I'm back on Instagram. Follow the blog on Instagram to stay current with new blog post.  
• Children's Bible Song List: I started a new page on the blog, the Children's Bible Song List. Check this out for ideas of Bible songs to sing with your kids. Over the next months I will be posting lyrics to songs, to hopefully be even more helpful. 
• "It is Good to Sing Praises to God": This was the teaching series last month.  What a joy to sing praises to God together with our children!

Hill Family Update:
This last month we had lots of fun enjoying God's Creation at the ocean, in the woods, waterfalls from rivers, in the garden, and at the zoo.

I'm excited this month to start a once a month newsletter.  This will give me a place to communicate about whats happenings on the website, point to past content that might apply for your family this month, and have a place to share a little bit about what's happening in my family.
