Day 1
- (Read John 3:1-7 or the record from a children’s Bible.)
- Jesus Christ is the son of God. He taught people about God. He loved people.
- Nicodemus visited Jesus at night time. (Show the 2 figurines.)
- Jesus told Nicodemus that you have to be born again to see the kingdom of God.

- When you become born again you receive holy spirit.
- (Tell your child about when you believed and became born again.)
Day 2
- (Read John 3:1-7 or the record from a children’s Bible.)
- Nicodemus had a question (read John 3:4.) He didn’t understand how a person could be born a second time.
- The first birth a baby comes out of a mom’s belly. Nicodemus asked Jesus if to be born again an adult has to get in his mom’s belly again?
- Jesus explained (read John 3:5). Jesus explained that to born again a man becomes born by spirit.
- The first birth a person is body and soul. (count to 2) With the second birth a person gets spirit. (count to 3)

Day 3
- (Read John 3:1-7 or the record from a children’s Bible.)
- People have looked for the gift of holy spirit ever since Adam lost spirit life (show picture of Adam and Eve).
- God is Holy Spirit. We cannot see spirit. When we believe that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead we become born again. We receive spirit. You are then God’s child.
- (Read the theme verse. Have your child echo it back)
Bible Verse Journal:
1. Print out a coloring page of Nicodemus talking with Jesus Christ. I used a picture from The Really Big Book Of Bible Story Coloring Pages. Or you could use this one. *
2. Print out the theme verse, cut it and then glue it to the picture. (Or write it on the picture.)
3. Color the page with crayons (not maker, so that the wax will resist the paint.)
4. Paint with black watercolor paint over the picture. The crayon will resist the black paint, and the picture will look like nighttime.
*Alternative: Printout theme verse, and have your child draw a picture of Jesus talking with Nicodemus.
