"All Things Bright And Beautiful" 3 Books and 1 Song - Resource Recommendation

"All Things Bright and Beautiful" is a wonderful hymn to praise God for what He made. Recently, I found a number of picture books that illustrate the song beautifully.

I cherish the sweet moments I have had with my girls as we learn this song.  We sit outside and read the book. Then we listen to the song on You Tube. Sometimes we look around us as Spring unfolds in our backyard, and talk about what God made that was beautiful, wise, and wonderful.

Throughout the day I hear my daughters sing a few lines of the song while playing. "All things wise and wonderful, all creatures great and small..."

Here are 3 picture books the illustrate the song. My family owns the first 2 books, and my niece has the 3rd book.

1. "All Things Bright and Beautiful", author Cecil Frances Alexander, illustrator Bruce Whatley, view here to preview the illustrations.

The illustrations follow a young girl walking around a farm. In many pictures she has a dog by her side. Coupled with the words, the book really illustrates walking through life thinking of God's wisdom and power. At the end of the book is sheet music for the song.

2. "All Things Bright and Beautiful", author Cecil Frances Alexander, illustrator Anna Vojtech, view here to preview the illustrations.

The illustrations in this book are full of detail. Each page has many animals, birds, bugs, and flowers to look at. The paintings have a very happy and rejoicing style.

3."All Creature Great And Small" illustrator Naoko Stoop

This is a board book. The illustrations have warm colors and are very sweet.
